During the appointment, your baby’s wellbeing is checked before finding out whether you’re having a boy or girl.

18–21 Weeks: Your NHS 20-Week Scan
Around the middle of pregnancy, you’ll usually be offered your NHS 20-week screening scan.

From 24 weeks, you can book a Wellbeing & 4D Baby Scan at Hey Baby 4D Enfield. Our 4D scans are available between 24 and 32 weeks.
Unlike traditional 2D ultrasound images, 4D scanning allows you to watch your baby moving in real time.
You might catch them:
- Yawning
- Stretching
- Moving their hands
- Putting their hands near their face
- Smiling or making little facial expressions

28–32 Weeks: See Their Little Features
