The primary objective of this scan is to check the wellbeing of your baby.
Available from 22 through to 32 weeks of your pregnancy. Check the wellbeing of your baby and encounter a wonderful 4D bonding experience, with memories to treasure for a lifetime! We always aim to provide you with a fun and friendly experience, whilst only ever performing your scan by a qualified, experienced, and registered obstetric sonographer.
Scan length: 10 minutes

Rescans
If we are unable to obtain clear 4D images, we may offer you one free rescan at a later date*. Rescans will not be offered after 32 weeks of pregnancy and therefore we recommend that you plan your 4D scan before 30 weeks wherever possible so that we can accommodate a rescan if required.
Please note:
- We are only able to provide scans to persons over the age of 18.
- The video recording has no audio capability.
*At the manager’s discretion, T&Cs apply. Please note that during lockdown, rescans will only be provided if there is a medical need to do so. Obtaining 4D images is not considered essential and therefore rescans to obtain 4D images will be unavailable for the duration of any lockdown.
You must still attend your 20 week scan with the NHS.
Preparing for your scan
You can prepare for your 4D baby scan by ensuring that you are properly hydrated in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment. Please arrive for your scan with a full bladder, as this helps our Sonographers to obtain the best images.
Please bring your pregnancy notes with you. We may not need them, but it is helpful if our qualified Sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your scan.

Finding Hey Baby 4D Preston
By Public Transport
- By train: The nearest major station is Preston railway station. From there it’s about a 4–5 minute walk to our clinic
- By bus: Many local buses stop very close — including services 1, 41, 61, 125, 280 (among others). Use stops like Ring Way (≈ 3 minutes’ walk) or Corporation Street / Railway Station stop (≈ 4 minutes’ walk) for easiest access.
Once you step off at the appropriate stop:
- From Ring Way: walk approximately 150–200 metres to Lune Street.
- From Preston railway station / Corporation Street stop: exit the station (or bus), turn towards the city centre and walk down Corporation Street into the area around Lune Street, following pedestrian signs (or map) to number 37.
By Car or Taxi / Driving
If you’re driving, or coming by taxi, aim for Lune Street, PR1 2NN in central Preston. Lune Street lies within a short walking distance from the railway station and the city-centre bus stops, so once you're on Lune Street (or nearby) you are already close — look for the clinic signage.
If you are arriving from outside Preston:
- From the motorway network (e.g. via the M6 / M55), follow the local signs toward Preston City Centre
- Once in the city, aim to reach the central area around the old town / city centre — Lune Street is just a short distance from the heart of Preston, and near major public-transport hubs.
A taxi dropped at “Preston Railway Station” or “Railway Station / Ring Way” stop will leave you within 3–5 minutes’ walk of the clinic.
Local Landmarks & What to Look For
- The clinic is on Lune Street, right in the city centre of Preston — very close to the central transport links.
- A well-known nearby landmark is the old Corn Exchange, Preston building, which is also on (or very near) Lune Street and may help as visual reference.
