Available from 16 through to 38 weeks of your pregnancy. This bonding & reassurance scan provides you with the chance to bond with your baby whilst we check their wellbeing and growth progress. We always aim to provide you with a fun and friendly experience, whilst only ever performing your scan by a qualified, experienced, and registered obstetric sonographer.

Scan length: 10 minutes
Appointment duration: 15 minutes

- 10 exclusive minutes with our qualified sonographer where you can ask any questions you like!
- Locate your pregnancy
- See & hear your baby’s heartbeat
- Check your baby’s wellbeing
- Receive a scan report & wellbeing form
- Check your baby’s presentation/position for delivery (if far enough into your pregnancy)
- Check the amount of fluid around your baby
- Check your placenta location
- Estimate baby’s measurements & weight
- Optional gender reveal using our EXCLUSIVE gender reveal lighting!
- FREE 4D preview*
- Digital download of all images
- 2 x black & white print
*Free 4D preview only available until 32 weeks’ gestation. As room decreases in the womb, it gets more difficult to obtain an image of baby’s face.

Please note:
- We are only able to provide scans to persons over the age of 18
- The video recording has no audio capability
- Please make sure you are well hydrated before attending your appointment
- Bring up to six guests to your scan, including children.
You must still attend your 20 week scan with the NHS.
Preparing for your scan
You can prepare for your Assurance Scan by ensuring that you are properly hydrated in the 24 hours leading up to your scan. Please also ensure you arrive at the clinic with a full bladder.
Please bring your pregnancy notes with you. We may not need them, but it is helpful if our qualified sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your pregnancy scan.

Finding Hey Baby 4D Sunderland
Hey Baby 4D Sunderland is located at Unit 2, Baird Close, Washington NE37 3HL, within a small business park just off the A1231 Sunderland Highway. Our clinic is on the ground floor with step-free access, making it easy to visit with prams and wheelchairs.

Our clinic is easily accessible from the A1(M), A19 and A1231, making it convenient for families travelling from across the North East.
Free parking is available close to the clinic, allowing easy access for your appointment.
We regularly welcome families from Washington, Sunderland, Gateshead, Newcastle, Chester-le-Street and Durham.
By Train / Metro 🚆
The closest major stations are Heworth Interchange and Pellaw Metro Station, both approximately 10–12 minutes by taxi from the clinic and well connected across Tyne & Wear.
By Bus 🚌
There are frequent bus services along the A1231 Washington Highway, with stops located a short walk from Baird Close, connecting the clinic to Sunderland, Gateshead, Newcastle and surrounding Washington areas.
