Preparing for your Early Pregnancy Scan

You can prepare for your early pregnancy scan by ensuring that you are properly hydrated in the 24 hours before your appointment. Please arrive with a full bladder.

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete your paperwork

Please bring your pregnancy notes with you. We may not need them, but it is helpful if our qualified sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your early reassurance scan.

It is sometimes necessary during the earlier stages of pregnancy to offer an internal scan. This is because it can be difficult to see the fetus via the abdomen at this stage. Many factors influence this (including hydration). Please ensure you arrive for your scan with a full bladder. As with all of our scans, you have the right to refuse or stop the procedure at any time.

Additional images, digital downloads of your scan images and a variety of products are available at Hey Baby 4D Wandsworth to purchase on the day.
