The primary objective of this scan is to check the wellbeing of your baby.
The 4D Bonding Scan offers a 15-minute HD ‘iLive’ bonding experience, complete with a wellbeing check, two colour prints, and the chance to capture photos and videos, with the option of a gender reveal. The 4D VIP Scan includes everything in the Bonding Scan but adds extra keepsakes such as two larger colour prints, an enhanced 8k image, and a full scan video, making it the most comprehensive package.
For Twin pregnancies, we recommend booking your 4D scan for twins between 22-26 weeks of pregnancy for the best possible images. There is a surcharge of £15 for the twin scans. With this scan you get an additional 15 minutes.

- This scan will also include an 8K image taken from the scan. This is processed externally and will be ready in the days following your scan.

Rescans:
If we are unable to obtain clear 4D images, we may offer you one free rescan at a later date*. Rescans will not be offered after 32 weeks of pregnancy and therefore we recommend that you plan your 4D scan before 30 weeks wherever possible so that we can accommodate a rescan if required.
Please note:
- We are only able to provide scans to persons over the age of 18.
- The video recording has no audio capability.
- We use both male and female sonographers in our clinic. If you have a preference, please contact us to arrange your appointment.
*At the manager’s discretion, T&Cs apply.
You must still attend your 20 week scan with the NHS.
Preparing for your scan
You can prepare for your 4D Scans by ensuring that you are properly hydrated in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment. You don’t need to arrive with a full bladder, but we do ask that it’s not completely empty.
Please bring your pregnancy notes with you. We may not need them, but it is helpful if our qualified Sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your scan.

Churchfield Court is located 0.4 miles north of Barnsley Town Centre, offering direct routes to the M1 which provides access to Leeds and Sheffield. We're just 0.7 miles away from Barnsley Hospital and only a short walk from Barnsley railway station! If you're an expectant parent based in Barnsley, Sheffield, Rotherham, Wakefield or Doncaster we're the private ultrasound clinic for you.
Street parking is available directly outside the clinic at a cost of £0.90 for one hour Monday to Saturday and free on Sundays. Also Churchfields car park is adjacent to the clinic charged at £2.20 for 2 hours Monday - Friday and free at weekends. Both are free on Bank Holidays.
