Our early reassurance scan is designed to check the viability of your baby and provide you with peace of mind from as early as 6 weeks gestation, through to 11 weeks. We always aim to provide you with a fun and friendly experience, whilst only ever performing your scan by a qualified, experienced, and registered obstetric sonographer.
Scan length: approx. 15 minutes
Appointment duration: 20 minutes

- 15 exclusive minutes with our qualified sonographer where you can ask any questions you like!
- Locate your pregnancy
- See your baby’s heartbeat
- Date your pregnancy – to confirm how far along you are
- Confirm single or multiple pregnancy
- Assess causes of any concern.
- Receive a scan report
- 2 x black & white image prints to take home
- No extra charge for twins or multiple pregnancies

- Digital download of all images (£10)
- Additional prints (£4 each)
Please note:
- We are only able to provide scans to persons over the age of 18.
You must still attend your 20 week scan with the NHS.
Preparing for your Early Reassurance & Viability Scan
You must attend your routine scans with the NHS.
You can prepare for your early reassurance scan by ensuring that you are properly hydrated in the 24 hours before your appointment. Please arrive with a full bladder.
It is sometimes necessary during the earlier stages of pregnancy to offer an internal scan. This is because it can be difficult to see the fetus via the abdomen at this stage. Many factors influence this (including hydration). Please ensure you arrive for your scan with a full bladder. As with all of our scans, you have the right to stop the procedure at any time.

Arrival Instructions for Visitors by Car
Our clinic is in Progress Business Centre. When arriving at the Progress Business Centre by car, you will see an entry barrier. Please stop just before the barrier – it will lift automatically to allow entry. Once inside, drive straight down to Unit 15. Free parking is available directly in front of the clinic.
