The primary objective of this Wellbeing & 4D Baby Scan is to check the wellbeing of your baby
Available from 24 through to 34 weeks of your pregnancy. You will receive the full 4D VIP experience and memories to treasure for a lifetime! We always aim to provide you with a fun and friendly experience, whilst only ever performing your scan by a qualified, experienced, and registered obstetric sonographer.

Rescans
If we are unable to obtain clear 4D images, we will offer you one free rescan at a later date**. Rescans will not be offered after 34 weeks of pregnancy and therefore we recommend that you plan your 4D scan before 32 weeks wherever possible so that we can accommodate a rescan if required.

Please note:

  • We are only able to provide scans to persons over the age of 18
  • The video recording has no audio capability

Preparing for your scan

You can prepare for your 4D baby scan by ensuring that you are properly hydrated in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment. Please arrive for your scan with a full bladder, as this helps our Sonographers to obtain the best images.

Please bring your pregnancy notes with you. We may not need them, but it is helpful if our qualified Sonographers need to refer to them at any stage during your scan.

Absolutely wonderful staff and a wonderful experience. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. My little one kept putting his foot in his face and we were invited back for a free rescan as he was being stubborn! Couldn't recommend them more! 😊💕

The lady’s are lovely here very welcoming and make me feel comfortable 🙂 Even when baby was being difficult they let me walk around drink water and even offered a rescan before trying again. Luckily baby let us see the gender 2nd time round and was a wonderful experience. I would definitely come here again 🩷

100% recommending Hey Baby in Colchester. We have been here three times now and staff was amazing, friendly and helpful every time. They have always made us feel at ease and tried their best and hardest to make baby cooperate and and were very accommodating. Way better and more comforting than any experience we had with the NHS so far.

Would absolutely recommend to everyone, the whole experience is amazing. From the moment you enter the building staff are all friendly and helpful. A much different experience to any NHS scans. Typically on my first visit baby wasn’t cooperating although staff tried lots of different techniques, we got booked in again and fortunately baby cooperated a slight bit better and managed to get some lovely pictures.Highly recommend Thank you

Have been there twice now and it is just my first pregnancy, I would always recommend Hey Baby to any friends. I have had all the scans with NHS but it is a completely different experience visiting Hey Baby 4D. They are so caring, nice, respectful, joyful etc the staff are just so nice and were much more accommodating and helpful than getting advice from my midwife tbh.. I come out smiling and looking forward to going back again and have friends who agree also!

We came here twice to see our baby as baby wasn't co-operating on our first visit. My family live this way whilst we are based in the midlands, despite the lengthy drive it was an amazing and magical experience for all. My grandad who has never been to a scan before was utterly enthralled by what he could see. The lovely ladies who were in the room (both times) were very friendly, warm and welcoming. They explained everything in detail to those in the room, so everyone knew what they were looking at. The lovely receptionist clearly loves her job and was able to settle nerves before we even went into the room.Overall, we had the best experience and would definitely recommend.
